1-Date and time of the race
The 7 ^th Edition of Porto Marathon will take place in Novembre 07^th  2010 at 9:00. The start line for the Marathon runners will be at Rua Julio Dinis (next to Palácio de Cristal) and the finish line will be at Av da Boavista (next to Parque da Cidade). The start line for the Half Marathon runners will be at Alameda Basilio Teles (next to Museu Carro Electrico) and the finish line will be Av. da Boavista (next to Parque da Cidade). The time limit for the Marathon runners is 6 hours.

3-Supplies

Following the rules of I.A.A.F.  It will be available water supplies since the Kms 5 and each 5 Kms as well as sponges and solid supplies during the race. The water supplies may increase through the race, if the weather conditions change.

The Marathon is an organization of Runporto.com, Lda.
With his headquarters at Rua de Cedofeita, 455-3º, sala35, 4050-181 Porto, with the support of:

5-Informations and Registration
The Registrations should be made to Runporto.com, Rua de Cedofeita 455-3º, sala 35, 4050-181 Porto-Portugal or through www.maratonadoporto.com. Numbers and CHIPS are only delivered at EXPO MARATHON.

6-Results

The Fun Race - MINI Marathon does not have classifications.

In the Family Race there will exist prizes for the top 5 Male and Female senior and top 3 veterans Male and Female (single rung).

It will exist prizes to all runges Male and Female.

In the Marathon and Family Race it’s only allowed runners with more than 20 years in the Marathon day. To receive the award the athlete must present an Identity Card.

In the moment of payment, the organization will deduct the taxes, according to Portuguese law.

7-Jury

The responsibility of the Jury is from Conselho Regional de Arbitragem da Associação de Atletismo do Porto.

8-Violations

It is only allowed to follow the runners in an organization car with identification.

9-Regulations
The omitted situations in this regulation will be solved according to the Regulamento Geral de Competições da Federeção  Portuguesa de Atletismo.

10-Complaint
Any kind of complaint have to be presented to the race jury until 10 minutes have passed since the end of the race, as well as an amount of 100 €, that will returned if it is considered valid.

11- Insurance
The organization will make nominal sport insurance to all runners registered.

12-Results (times)
The results will be chonometred by the system of CHIPS – DAG SYSTEM.
All runners have to cross the control antennas placed in different race areas during the course map. The results will be published in our web site www.maratonadoporto.com and Distance Running.
